CodeKey Dodge Neon 98 Car Trouble?

Standard DTCs (ISO 15031-6/SAE J2012): Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Insufficient Detected

I used CodeKey on my 98 Dodge Neon and got this result, I have no idea what this means. Can someone explain to me what this is?|||egr valve is pluged with carbon, get a can of sea foam from the parts store ,take off a vac line large one run the motor about 2000-3000 rpms, put sea foam in hose real slow,to fast will stall out the motor.replace the hose, then let the car set turned off for 1 hour, then take the car out and drive is hard 15 mins .check the rear view see the black carbon come out...|||This is a common code on these vehicles. Most likely suspect is a faulty EGR valve. Also known as a Exhaust gas recirculation valve. Basically, this component allows exhaust gasses to be routed through the engine to burn it again, resulting in cleaner emissions. First thing to do would be to remove the valve, usually held in place with 2 13 mm bolts/nuts, and check and see if its feed port where it mounts, is blocked with carbon. If it is, you can take a small ice pick or screw driver and chisel it out and blow it clean and re install EGR valve and reset the code and see if it comes back. If there is not any carbon that you can see, then you most likely have a faulty EGR valve. The replacement typically runs around $85 at a parts store. Its an easy to replace part. I hope this helps!|||Something wrong with the egr valve or circuit. The valve is located on the end of the cylinder head nearest the transmission. Look at the hoses that control it first to see if they are broken. A new one is about $70.
